In this Motherhood series, I am sharing the monthly schedules that I used for my youngest son when he was a baby 🙂 My boys are 20 months apart and I was in the #2under2 club – following a general schedule (with flexibility as needed) helped me and my family so much. Since I loved seeing other mama’s schedules when my babies were little, I am sharing mine here on my blog with you. Enjoy!

Baby Schedules: Month 2
Here is what our schedule evolved to at 2 months:
Time | Activity |
7am | Wake/feed/play |
8:15-10am | Nap 1 |
10am | Wake/feed/play |
11:15am-1pm | Nap 2 |
1pm | Wake/feed/play |
2:30-3:30pm | Nap 3 |
4pm | Wake/feed/play |
5-6pm | Nap 4 |
7:30pm | Bedtime routine and final feeding of day |
1am | Middle of the night feeding 1 |
4am | Middle of the night feeding 2 |
And for those of you who like a ton of details, here are some notes! My little guy had such a hard time sleeping in the middle of the night, my first born did not – babies are so unique so don’t compare (and don’t be scared by how sleep deprived I was at Month 2 lol, he ended up becoming a sleep champ at 4 months and still is today 😉 )
Week 5:
Wake time 6:30/7 and bedtime 8-9pm, 5 naps a day, feedings during the day every 2 to 3 hours, and 2-3 middle of night feedings. Our nighttime routine was nurse, bath, swaddle, supplement with bottle, sleep in Rock and Play. Our nap routine did not exist and naps were either on the go, in the swing, or while being held.
Week 6:
Week 7 and 8:
We moved C to his own room in his crib for nights! I was nervous to do this so early, but he is such a noisy little sleeper that it seemed like the right decision and it was. Bedtime usually ended up closer to 8. Things definitely improved on the sleep front and he often took nice long naps and his initial stretch of night sleep got up to 5 hours 45 minutes a few times, but usually at least 4.5 hours so getting up twice. Still hard to resettle after middle of night feedings. Also, by no means was the schedule exact each day, but most of the time we got close. At this age he was smiling and cooing and tracking so it was fun to play with him during the day 🙂
Anyway, like I said by the time we got to 8 weeks this is what our rough schedule looked like, and it definitely varied day to day!
