Welcome to Part 4 of this 4 part series on my kitchen remodel! Here I will show you my favorite part – all the beautiful “after” photos! I’m also including links for the exact products I used. You can revisit Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 to learn more about the inspiration I used, the planning process, and the details of the remodel process. We’ve lived in this kitchen for almost 3 years now and I wouldn’t change a thing! I hope you enjoy 🙂

Area 1: Back Wall (Oven + Stovetop, Microwave Drawer, and Storage)

The oven, stove, hood, floating shelves, and accent lighting are a huge focal point in our kitchen – I seriously feel joy every time I look that way! I also love the subtle copper hardware on the oven that can actually be swapped out for a couple different finishes if I change my mind down the road!

The hood and shelving are simple and timeless, and the decor personalizes the space.

Adding some art and books in the kitchen really elevates the space. We decided to do two-tone cabinetry and I love the interest it adds while keeping with a neutral color scheme. On this wall in addition to our stove we have a microwave drawer.

We have a beverage fridge along this wall which is super convenient, and I love the 2 pendant lights we have hanging over the island.

We added a hidden appliance drawer, which my contractor did custom since these are IKEA cabinets. Our coffee maker lives back here and when we are not using it, we just push it back and close the door!

When I designed the kitchen, I thought about everything I wanted a specific drawer for and since I love essential oils, I knew I wanted a small drawer for those.

Planning out where I wanted to put everything we needed storage for while designing the cabinet layout was very helpful, and ensured that there is a spot for everything 🙂

We have pull out drawers on each side of the oven.

I also find it easier to have pots/pans in a drawer instead of a cabinet. Every lower cabinet on this wall is a pull out drawer.

Area 2: Side Wall (Fridge/Freezer and “Pantry”)

We don’t have a separate pantry area, so I wanted this small wall to serve as the place where we store all of our food and ingredients. This makes it very easy when prepping food and cooking! Everything is right here. I also love our built-in fridge and freezer.

One of my favorite parts about IKEA kitchen cabinets are the organization options. IKEA allows for hidden pull out drawers and has several organizers at the store that fit perfectly in each drawer.

I love our spice drawer! It was fun organizing these 🙂

Area 3: Island (Sink, Dishwasher, Seating, and Storage)

I really wanted an island where we could all sit at together, so we have a waterfall on one side of the island, and then a counter on the other 2 sides for seating. We eat every meal here! There is storage on one side of the seating, and then the side where the sink/faucet is has our cleaning supplies, trash can, and dishwasher.

I can’t get over the little mini IKEA drawers – on top of the trash pull outs we have a mini drawer for some often used cleaning supplies and it is super convenient!

We have an apron front farmhouse sink and a copper faucet – I love the color combination!

Holiday Kitchen

Our kitchen is definitely the heart of our home! I have so many memories of each holiday, with the kids bouncing downstairs into the kitchen to see the decorations and start celebrating. It is easy to swap out seasonal decor around the hood, and to decorate the chairs. It was so fun planning this kitchen for my family to enjoy – it was truly a labor of love and my contractor is the best in all the land (if you are local to SD and looking for someone truly incredible, send me a message!) – thanks for reading! Links

Cabinetry: IKEA Cabinets Sektion, Semihandmade Door Fronts (combination of DIY Shaker painted Benjamin Moore White Dove and Chris Loves Julia in the color Dusk). Used Inspired Kitchen Design to design the kitchen cabinet layout, along with Semihandmade’s Create Your Cart option to ensure that all the measurements and pieces were perfect before purchasing – highly recommend.

Hardware: Goldenwarm Matte Black Square Bar Cabinet Pulls in various sizes (we went with an oversized look)

Flooring: California Classics French Oak Hardwood, Mediterranean Collection color Tripoli. We needed to replace our flooring in the kitchen since we moved the island and gutted the whole thing, and since our downstairs is an open floor plan we ended up replacing the entire downstairs with this flooring. It is so pretty!

Backsplash: Cloe 2.5×8″ Ceramic Tile in White. There is a lot of variation in the shades of this tile which I love!

Countertop: Cosentino Silestone Quartz Et Calacatta Gold in Suede finish. I have looooooved quartz – it is beyond easy to clean and still looks brand new.

Pendant lights: Circa Lighting Visual Comfort Darlana Mini Lantern in Aged Iron

Picture lights: Circa Lighting Visual Comfort 8″ Cabinet Maker’s Picture Light in Bronze

Sink (similar): Fine Fixtures Fireclay Farmhouse Sink Apron Front 30″

Faucet: Signature Hardware Single-Hole Kitchen Faucet with Swivel Spout and Pull Down Spray in Antique Copper

Refrigerator + Freezer: Fisher & Paykel Integrated French Door Refrigerator Freezer 36″ Ice + Water. I have been really happy with this fridge/freezer but fyi, it is not big. We can comfortably fit groceries for a family of four in the refrigerator but the freezer part gets a little tight. We chose this particular brand because it sits flush with the cabinets but at a much lower price point than some other brands.

Oven: Cafe Appliances 30″ Smart Slide-In Front Control Gas Double Oven Range with Convection in Stainless Steel/Brushed Copper. Not going to lie, I don’t know what any of those descriptions mean but it’s pretty, cooks well, and is super easy to use.

Microwave drawer: Wolf 30″ Professional Drawer Microwave

Under Counter Beverage Center: Marvel 24 inch Built in Beverage Center with 3-in-1 Convertible Shelves. Obsessed with this little guy – we don’t drink wine so we wanted a “wine fridge” that had the capacity to store cans, etc. This has been perfect!

Dishwasher: Kitchenaid 24 inch PrintShield Stainless Steel Top Control Built In Tall Tub Dishwasher. My mother-in-law recommended this so I didn’t research at all because I knew it was going to be a great one! It is sooooo quiet which is my favorite part 🙂
